The 1st ingredient is Undenatured Type II Collagen (UC-II®) which is derived from the chicken sternum. Many preclinical and clinical studies supported the safety and efficacy of UC-II in modulating joint discomfort in OA. When consumed, it will transform naïve T-cells into T-regulatory (T-reg) cells that specifically target Type II Collagen, which then migrate through circulation and recognize Type II Collagen in joint cartilage. T-reg cells will secrete anti inflammatory cytokines to help reduce inflammation and starts promote cartilage regeneration.
The 2nd ingredient is Boswellia Serrata (Aflapin®)which is derived from a type of branching tree grown in dry mountains regions of India, Northern Africa and Middle East. The gum-resin extract from this plant has been traditionally used to treat chronic inflammatory diseases. According to research, it contains 20% 3-O acetyl-11-keto-B-boswellic acid (AKBA) and specific B Serrata-non-volatile oils to increase bioavailability, which is the most potent inhibitor of 5-lypooxygenase (5-LOX), an enzyme responsible for inflammation. This helps reduce inflammation on the joints.
The last ingredient is Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a component that is particularly abundant in the synovial fluid. Many studies conducted between year 2008 to 2018 have proven that the effectiveness of HA for the treatment of symptoms associated with synovitis and particularly knee pain. It helps to relief synovial effusion or inflammation as well as improving the muscle strength of the knee.
